Oh, those Hamilton Boys....

For the past week I have been keeping 3 of my favorite boys! Nicholas, Jon Michael and Noah :)

Their mom and I go way back in fact her little brother is married to my best friend....I guess you could say we like to keep it "all in the family"ha, ha. As most of you know I am very use to little girls that being since I am the youngest of 3 girls and have 6 nieces and only 1 nephew. Actually almost all my friends have girls also! I have learned a lot about boys this week....mostly how funny they are I am full of stories.

Nicholas is in school so he wouldn't come in until late afternoon but, we had a great time playing kick ball. I must say it has been years since I played a good game of kick ball. Somehow I got put on the team with Noah (which is only 2) needless to say my team lost. Nicholas is very in to sports and knew every rule to every game we played or talked about.

Jon Michael had me laughing the whole time I was there. He is one of those kids that you NEVER have a dull moment around! I have taken a mental note of things he said over the past couple of days so I could share with you. I really think if we don't see him as the Bachelor on ABC one year we will for sure see him on the comedy channel.

Noah is a precious 2 year old that is learning from 2 older brothers! He took me by surprise at how fast he would tell JM no I don't want to do that or give that back to me now!!!! As the youngest of 3 kids I know how he feels....you sometimes have to defend yourself :) Noah was so sweet and would just want to sit right next to me while we watched cartoons or played.

If I learned one thing this week...BOYS are sweet! They love with all their hearts and can melt yours when they look at you with that precious little smile.

As promised here are some of the Jon Michael famous quotes!

*Hello Sharon is there anything inside that brain of yours?????
*Look at my abs....I have a 4 pack.
*I kind of wish I could do all those things you girls do...well, except for that make-up thing.
*Did you know my neighbors are from China...but, they speak Japanese
*You know why you girls don't understand us boys....it's because all boys are aliens.
*I just love Hanna Montana because she is so pretty and so funny.

Here is a little video of picures of the boys....

Friends Are Friends Forever

What is a best friend?
Is it someone you have known forever or someone you just met? Someone you tell everything to or just bits and pieces to? Is she the person who knows you from the inside out? The one who knows what kind of clothes look best on you and will tell you if your butt looks huge in it? Is she the one that knows he is the one or just the one you are having a good time with?
Well, this is my best friend! She is the one person I have known the longest, had the most fights with, cried with the most, and laughed my butt off with more than anyone! My best friend and I are exactly 2 weeks to the day apart. Our grandfathers and dads both grew up with up each other….how cool is that?!?!
We have been through thick and thin with each other in the past 31 years. Break-ups, make-ups, parents divorce, a marriage, birth of 2 beautiful little girls, family drama, deaths, many shopping trips, road trips, and oh so much more!!!!!
Is there anything you won't do for your best friend? No, when you have a best friend you bend over backwards for them. You call them when you need them and know your phone could ring at anytime when they need you! That is what friends are for!!!!
This past week I went to my best friend’s house to stay for a few days to help out while she had surgery. I think I heard a 100 times or more the words thank you and I could have never handled all of this without your help. I know she felt like she had to say it but, she didn’t that is what we do when a friend needs help. I loved helping out and being there with her. We did have some crazy conversations—due to her being on pain medications I won’t discuss any of those on here!
To answer the question that started it all what is a best friend? A best friend is that one person whom you know with a doubt you can count on no matter what. That one friend who doesn’t judge you!! The one girlfriend who will be there with a glass of wine and say it’s all gonna be alright when things are going bad. The one friend who is more like a sister than a friend and loves you with her heart of hearts!

Here are some pics of me and my best friend Jennifer :)

Mother's Day 2009

To me Mother's day is just another day because I am not a mother but, yet there is a part of me that loves this day. I think it is because I hope to one day be a mother, I love the day for my friends that are mommies and most of all because I am so grateful to still have a mother in my life. At 31, we have been through a lot togehter! We have been through many boyfriends, break-ups, malls, purses, school events and loads of drama! This year alone we have been through the lost of a job, a death, and a surgery....that would equal lots of tear, and worries. I think as teenagers we roll our eyes, sigh, say things under our breath and complain to our best friends about "our moms". As adults we still do those things but, follow them by saying but I love her more than anything in this world. Really if you think about it what would you do without your mom? As much as she gets on your nerves, drives you insane and will ask you 1000 questions in less than 5 mintues where would you be without her? She is the one that knows just by the look on your face something is wrong. She is the one who will take all the worry away for you if she could. She is the one who still as an adult would fix all your boo-boo's and make them right. Most of all she is the one person in the world who loves you for you no matter what mistakes you make or if you have a job or not. She is always your biggest cheerleader and supporter! She is the one who loves you with all she has and I love her too!

Nicole turns 17 :)

This week was Nicole's 17th birthday so we had a birthday party for her this weekend. I can't believe that she is already 17!!!! I know she is so ready to be a senior in school and get into college and ya know be an adult but, as the aunt I wish she was still that little girl :( She has grown into such a wonderful young lady and she is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside! I think her heart is actually bigger than she is. All in all I think she had a great birthday and here is a few pics from our little family gathering.

This picture cracks me up! The card is from Holliann and is in Spanish...which none of us could read.

Nicole's Prom

Tonight, my niece Nicole and her boyfriend Ryan went to the Prom for Ola High School. Everyone looked so pretty and it was so neat to see how the times of dresses have changed since I went to the prom back in the 90's. I do have to say that Nicole was the prettiest of them all her and Ryan were the best looking couple....I am the aunt so I can say that right! They went with a huge group I think in all there was around 19 kids. I went crazy taking pictures but, hey that is what aunts, moms, grandmothers, and sisters are for right? I have added a few to the blog but, all of them are posted on facebook.

Baby Jack!

My friend Callie was hanging out tonight at her parents house with her baby boy Jack. Callie and I have been friends since 3rd grade! I love that! I don't think you find friends like that now days and ones that stay around that long now days. Her little boy Jack is so cute you just want to eat him up with kisses when you see him! He was so cute and so well behaved while Callie and talked tonight. He would just sit in his little "baby chair" and watch and laugh at us. Callie was getting ready to start him on baby food so we thought we would give that a try before we ate. The pictures are so stinking cute! I think he is very use to his mom always taking pictures of him :)

I think he likes them....if only he knew he was eating prunes!
He just kept going after the spoon!

He was such a good boy while mommy & I ate.

I think we might have gotten to loud for him....ha, ha

The Birthday Weekend of FUN!!!!

Ok, so this birthday was so much FUN!!!! It actually lasted all weekend. My birthday this year fell on a Friday so I did what everyone does on their birthday I slept in….oh wait you can’t do that if you have a job. Today was one day I LOVED not having a job it was the best birthday present ever I got the day OFF! Anyways, I did all the normal stuff got my emissions test and passed….went and got my tag. You all remember that I forgot to get my tag one and sat in the back of a police car for that one. WON’T ever do that again! I had a very nice dinner with my niece Andrea and just relaxed for the day.

Saturday was great!!!! Mom and I went to Books and Million on Jonesboro road and met Kate Gosselin from Jon and Kate plus 8. I was so excited to meet her and when I say excited I mean excited! You would have thought I was going to be able to sit down and have a cup coffee with her and talk for hours. We get to BOM and it is was packed who would have thought this many people would be in a book store in McDonough all at one time. I of course was all ready with camera & book in hand and all my questions ready to ask her. Well, here we go they start giving out all their orders of how this is going to work. I mean come on I know this is going to be organized this lady is the most organized lady I know….besides me. We had to have our books facing her turned to a certain page, no pictures could be taken with her and you would only have about a minute with her. Seriously are you kidding me but, I have a list of things I need to know!!!! Didn’t these people know it was birthday weekend come on people. Ok, so mom and I get in line following all directions and we get our books signed so hey nice to meet you and that was about it. I have to say though it was still wonderful to meet her in person and she is really pretty and extremely skinny in person. I still can’t get over her arms they were amazing…that was one of my questions I wanted to know what she does to work them out.

Mom & I waiting to meet Kate!
Here she is!!!!

Next, I headed to Macon for my Birthday outing with friends which was a blast! My best friend and her husband live in Forsyth and my friend Greg lives in Macon (or Florida as I call it). We had a fun night planned and I could not wait to head out for the night. I met up with Greg and then we met up with Jen and Brian. We had a great dinner at a place called Spaghetti Alley in Macon. This was a place I had never been but, my food was so good and the dessert was to die for!!!! It alone is worth driving back to Macon for I only shared one bite of it. After dinner we all walked downtown to a little bar in town. It really was a hole in the wall but, I had a blast.
As a side note for the pictures below....I have a on strapless dress that would be why it looks like I have no clothes on at all! No, I didn't celebrate my birthday in my birthday outfit!

It was YUMMY!!!!

Sunday, when I got back home from Macon I went out with my family to the Olive Garden. I love Italian food can you tell? Of course it was nice to be with my family and spend my birthday with them but, the best part of the whole dinner was the waiter's comment. When she asked how old I was and I told her 31 she said you are kidding me I thought you were going to say 25! I said oh, you will get a great tip! My maw-maw asked did I feel 31? No, I sure don’t to be honest….I think age is only a number and you only feel as old as you make yourself feel!
My birthday weekend was great and I looked forward to many more with many more friends & loved ones!!!!!

Getting ready to blow out my candles :)

Simple Prayers

Lord, I thank you for your beloved Son, for your unfailing love, and for Your wonderful thoughts. During my busy day, help me to remember all that You have done for me. Help me to follow Your Word and walk in purity of heart.
