Baby Jack!

My friend Callie was hanging out tonight at her parents house with her baby boy Jack. Callie and I have been friends since 3rd grade! I love that! I don't think you find friends like that now days and ones that stay around that long now days. Her little boy Jack is so cute you just want to eat him up with kisses when you see him! He was so cute and so well behaved while Callie and talked tonight. He would just sit in his little "baby chair" and watch and laugh at us. Callie was getting ready to start him on baby food so we thought we would give that a try before we ate. The pictures are so stinking cute! I think he is very use to his mom always taking pictures of him :)

I think he likes them....if only he knew he was eating prunes!
He just kept going after the spoon!

He was such a good boy while mommy & I ate.

I think we might have gotten to loud for him....ha, ha

The Birthday Weekend of FUN!!!!

Ok, so this birthday was so much FUN!!!! It actually lasted all weekend. My birthday this year fell on a Friday so I did what everyone does on their birthday I slept in….oh wait you can’t do that if you have a job. Today was one day I LOVED not having a job it was the best birthday present ever I got the day OFF! Anyways, I did all the normal stuff got my emissions test and passed….went and got my tag. You all remember that I forgot to get my tag one and sat in the back of a police car for that one. WON’T ever do that again! I had a very nice dinner with my niece Andrea and just relaxed for the day.

Saturday was great!!!! Mom and I went to Books and Million on Jonesboro road and met Kate Gosselin from Jon and Kate plus 8. I was so excited to meet her and when I say excited I mean excited! You would have thought I was going to be able to sit down and have a cup coffee with her and talk for hours. We get to BOM and it is was packed who would have thought this many people would be in a book store in McDonough all at one time. I of course was all ready with camera & book in hand and all my questions ready to ask her. Well, here we go they start giving out all their orders of how this is going to work. I mean come on I know this is going to be organized this lady is the most organized lady I know….besides me. We had to have our books facing her turned to a certain page, no pictures could be taken with her and you would only have about a minute with her. Seriously are you kidding me but, I have a list of things I need to know!!!! Didn’t these people know it was birthday weekend come on people. Ok, so mom and I get in line following all directions and we get our books signed so hey nice to meet you and that was about it. I have to say though it was still wonderful to meet her in person and she is really pretty and extremely skinny in person. I still can’t get over her arms they were amazing…that was one of my questions I wanted to know what she does to work them out.

Mom & I waiting to meet Kate!
Here she is!!!!

Next, I headed to Macon for my Birthday outing with friends which was a blast! My best friend and her husband live in Forsyth and my friend Greg lives in Macon (or Florida as I call it). We had a fun night planned and I could not wait to head out for the night. I met up with Greg and then we met up with Jen and Brian. We had a great dinner at a place called Spaghetti Alley in Macon. This was a place I had never been but, my food was so good and the dessert was to die for!!!! It alone is worth driving back to Macon for I only shared one bite of it. After dinner we all walked downtown to a little bar in town. It really was a hole in the wall but, I had a blast.
As a side note for the pictures below....I have a on strapless dress that would be why it looks like I have no clothes on at all! No, I didn't celebrate my birthday in my birthday outfit!

It was YUMMY!!!!

Sunday, when I got back home from Macon I went out with my family to the Olive Garden. I love Italian food can you tell? Of course it was nice to be with my family and spend my birthday with them but, the best part of the whole dinner was the waiter's comment. When she asked how old I was and I told her 31 she said you are kidding me I thought you were going to say 25! I said oh, you will get a great tip! My maw-maw asked did I feel 31? No, I sure don’t to be honest….I think age is only a number and you only feel as old as you make yourself feel!
My birthday weekend was great and I looked forward to many more with many more friends & loved ones!!!!!

Getting ready to blow out my candles :)

Easter 2009

This Easter was a hard one. Yes, I remembered and know exactly what the day is for but, when you are living through the day after losing someone it is hard to do. This was my families first holiday without paw-paw. When you are raised in a Christian family where the one person who has always said the prayer before all the family meals is no longer there it makes you look at things in a whole new light. This year we choose to go out to dinner as a family instead of gathering at one of homes. I guess we thought changing things up would make things easier but, it didn’t. The car ride to the restaurant was like we were on our trip to our last meal….no talking. We chose our seats at O’Charley’s and just kind of sat there and looked at each other like what do we do now. Almost like when you go on that first really bad blind date and you have nothing in common or nothing to talk about. Finally the waiter came and he was so funny….almost like an angel that had been sent straight to our table to make us laugh. We then ate and laughed and talked and of course picked on each other about things. If you know my family there is never and quite or dull moment around us. Then the waiter came back and had dessert for us on the house. I couldn’t help but think oh, gosh paw-paw would have LOVED this and it’s FREE! He loved sweets and I have never met a man who loved to eat more than him. After dinner we just sat there and talked about him and told stories and of him. He is so loved and so missed but, I am sure he had one of the BEST Easter’s ever! Wow he got to spend his Easter with our Lord and Savior it can’t get any better than that!!!!

Tanning, Laughter, & Weight

Yesterday, one of niece’s came over Holliann to spend the day with us. We laughed at her because by gosh she is one of the funniest people I know. Her real reason for coming over was to spray tan me. The things aunts ask for huh? I tried to do it myself and I tell you it looked like a tan gone bad! I love to have a tan and well, since I have no income at the moment I am on tanning bed restriction. Can’t wait until I get that privilege back!!!!
Anyway, Holliann and I go into my bathroom to do the spray tan. I have never laughed so hard in my life. Holliann got ready to spray tan me and all of sudden she was like Sharon I have no clue what I am doing what I if I mess up? Then we just started laughing so hard. I said girl it can’t be any worse than when I did it! This crap stunk so bad we both could hardly breathe…she would spray a little and then walk away from me and breath. When it got time to do my face oh goodness if only we had a camera! She would say 1,2,3 hold your breath and I would say hold on I am not ready! This process lasted a while but, it finally got all done and looks great!
Needless, to say when I get a job my first paycheck will pay for a tanning bed membership!

Since we WILL NOT show tanning pictures here is just another pic of Holliann and I.

Ok, so today starts my 4th month of unemployment. Let me tell you life is just so exciting!!!! I realized today I had gained 3 pounds since I lost my job. For you that know me I am not a fan of having much weight on my body so you can only imagine how this affected my life today. I made my mind up that since I have a birthday at the end of the month that I REFUSE to be old, single, unemployed, & fat! I can only handle so much so I made myself double time it on the tread climber tonight. I will not tell you how much I weight but, I will keep you updated and let you know when I reach my goal!

Simple Prayers

Lord, I thank you for your beloved Son, for your unfailing love, and for Your wonderful thoughts. During my busy day, help me to remember all that You have done for me. Help me to follow Your Word and walk in purity of heart.
