CHRISTmas...the one day that goes on for FOUR days :)

Christmas oh, how I LOVE Christmas! I would have to say besides my own birthday Jesus's birthday is my most FAVORITE day in the year!! I am one of those crazy people that on Thanksgiving day I am thinking about getting all my decorations out that weekend and decking the halls. Some people get all freaked out about having so much to do around Christmas & all the running around that happens with this time of the year but, I live for it.

My Christmas starts on Christmas Eve and goes through the weekend...how FUN!!!!

First, on my holiday adventure is Christmas Eve with my family :) We ALWAYS have pancakes made by my dad and let me tell you they are soooooo YUMMY!!

Next, CHRISTMAS DAY! I am hear to tell you I am still like a child on this day, I still wake up with butterflys in my stomach. I can remember as most of us can when I was a little girl I couldn't WAIT to see what Santa brought me but, now I can't wait to give my gifts to my mom and dad. This year I found myself growing closer to Jesus so this Christmas I looked at the day so different. It is the day of our Lord and Savior's birth! Wow, what an amazing gift to each and everyone of us. I hope each and everyone of you had a wonderful Christmas and that you will understand the TRUE meaning of Christmas.

The 3rd event in my Christmas day that lasted 4 days was the Hartsfield Christmas Dinner. This of course is my dad's side of the family. I hate that we only get to see some of the family members at Christmas but, either way it always so nice to see everyone and catch up.

Check out the Hartsfield gang:

The last stop of my Christmas of 2009 was to my best friends house! Jennifer is married to Brian whom we both grew up with and they have 2 precious girls. Ansley is 4 and Ashlynn is 2 they both are my little lovebugs! I love going to see them down in Macon. Seeing Christmas through their eyes always brings me so much joy :)
Yes, of course I have pitures!!!! Hey, check out what Santa delivered to them from the North Pole....

Kids, Christmas & Oh, yea the gifts!!!!

As most of you know I have a thing for kiddo's! I love them to death to be honest. Since losing my job last December I have survived by keeping kids and I have been so blessed. As of November I have become to the nanny to two sweet kids. Ty is 3 and Mary is 1...we have the most fun throughout the day. On Monday nights I watch two little girls that are full of sugar & spice with everything nice :)

I was excited when I went to keep the girls this past Monday night because I couldn't wait to give them their Christmas presents!!!!!! Speaking of presents I got a surprise from Vanessa (3) and Olivia (4 months) the Monday before. Sweet little Vanessa came running up to me with a cute little red bag saying Ms. Sharon this is for you! Inside I found a gift certificate to The Scarlet Retreat for a massage (oh, how I love them) and the cutest Christmas tree ornament ever!!

See how cute!!!!

Then of course there was this....only a mom would know how GREAT of a gift this is!

Today of course is CHRISTmas Eve-Eve!! Ty, Mary and I had lots to do to get ready for Santa & make a few surprises for mommy and daddy :) We colored some Christmas pictures, made some Christmas ornaments with their pictures in them and got our reindeer food ready for tomorrow night.

Check out these pics!

Ty & Mary's mommy & daddy know me VERY well....check out my Christmas gift from the Tingle family!

Baby boy Reid & Big sister Maya

Tonight, I went to meet one of my favorite friends ever!! I met Mandy for dinner & of course to hold onto sweet baby Reid. We had the best time catching up...it had been a litte while since we had sat and talked. Maya told me about her Elf on the shelf which she named Rosey Cheeks (how cute), her wish list for Santa and that Santa had sent her a email!!!!

After dinner and the fact I felt like Reid had napped long enough in his seat he was passed my way for a little snuggle time with me. Let me tell you he is the sweetest baby boy EVER!!!! I was just in love with how he would snuggle up in my arms. I so enjoyed loving on Reid and listening to Maya tell me all her Christmas stories. Really if you think about it isn't Christmas so much better through the eyes of a child. Mandy, & her husband Michael are so blessed with two precious children and I have attached pictures of them. As you look at them please say a little prayer for them as baby Reid is battling some health issues and as we all know prayer is the best medication we can have.

Just change the day!

Ok, so you already know I don't do well with changing traditions. Well, since my aunt and cousin's couldn't go yesterday we just changed the day.

Today we all headed out to The Mall Of Georgia after church for a day of shopping.

We started out at Macaroni Grill for lunch and then headed over to the mall :) We ended our shopping day with a little venture to TJ MAX. Ok, so I have to tell you if you have never been to the TJ MAX @ the mall of GA. you should try it! That store has EVERYTHING!!!!!

We ended the night with a drive thru visit to Steak -n- Shake...it was yummy!!!!

I am a sucker for TRADITION'S

I love traditions and really get upset if they get taken out of my life! Really I do...it can almost bring me to tears.

For years now my mom and I have been going to a craft fair near Stone Mountain the first Saturday in December. A few years ago my aunt and cousin joined us! Oh, my gosh we had a blast...really we did. We started out at the craft fair then ventured on to lunch at the Cracker Barrel then decided to head to The Mall of Georgia were we literally shopped for ever! We even shopped the stores around the mall. We stayed so late we ate dinner at the Olive Garden. No kidding we didn't get home until 11:30 that night! I use to have a picture of what my suv looked like when we got home...maybe I will find it somewhere.

With all that being said we have kept this tradition for years. We actually do the same thing every year!

This year my aunt and cousins couldn't go that day but, because of my tradition issue my mom and I stuck it out and went all alone. We missed Vicky and my cousins but, it was so much fun to laugh with mom all day long :)

Simple Prayers

Lord, I thank you for your beloved Son, for your unfailing love, and for Your wonderful thoughts. During my busy day, help me to remember all that You have done for me. Help me to follow Your Word and walk in purity of heart.
